About Jeanine C. Driscoll

Jeanine C. Driscoll is running for New York’s 4th Congressional District to continue her fight to protect Nassau County taxpayers. Jeanine was first elected Hempstead Town Receiver of taxes in 2019 and was overwhelmingly re-elected in 2023. As the Receiver of Taxes in America’s largest town, Jeanine collects and distributes property tax payments and processes exemptions for the town’s 800,000 residents. Jeanine is a champion for local property taxpayers, helping them reduce their taxes through available exemptions and educating them about the assessment appeals process.

A practicing attorney for more than 30 years, Jeanine also served as an Associate Village Justice for the Incorporated Village of Bellerose.

Jeanine has lived in the Village of Bellerose with her husband, Dan, and their five children for 24 years. Her father emigrated from Caracas, Venezuela, in 1948, while her mother’s family emigrated from Ireland in the late 1800s. Jeanine and her three younger siblings were raised by their parents in Middle Village, Queens.

Jeanine received her Bachelor’s Degree in American Politics from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and earned a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law.

Jeanine is an active member of the community who was president of both the Junior Women’s Club of Bellerose and the Floral Park Memorial PTSA. She also served on the Budget Advisory Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee of the Floral Park-Bellerose School District. Jeanine is active in her parish, Our Lady of Victory, where she taught young children in the Faith Formation Program for 20 years, is a member of the Parish Council, and also serves as a Eucharistic Minister on the weekends.

Jeanine’s number one priority is to continue to enhance the quality of life of Nassau County residents. In Congress, she will fight for lower taxes, a secure southern border, and the safety of our communities
